Project Process

From enquiry to production release.

German buyers think in gates, not in steps. Every TG-TP project has three hard approval points: design approval, tool acceptance, production release. Between them lies documented work.

Enquiry & feasibility

You send part data, we answer with a solid assessment. The more complete the enquiry package, the more accurate the guide price.

  • Check of data completeness and demouldability
  • Rough concept: cavity count, runner system, mould size
  • Match against your machine fleet: clamping force, platen size

Your documents

Material with grade · Annual quantity
Tool life · Target date

An incomplete set is no obstacle: we start with a 3D model and a quantity, and clear up the rest in the first call.

Quotation & DFM

Mouldability comes before price. The DFM report reviews your part point by point and proposes changes while they still cost nothing: in the CAD model instead of in hardened steel.

  • DFM report: demoulding, wall thickness, gate position, weld lines
  • Mould concept with cavity count and hot runner decision
  • Binding quotation with schedule and payment milestones

Design & approval

The complete mould design happens at the plant: 3D assembly, cooling concept, ejector package, sliders. The filling simulation checks the filling pattern, weld lines and warpage before anything is milled.

  • 3D design in NX or SolidWorks, 2D drawings as required
  • Filling simulation with report: filling pattern, weld lines, warpage prediction
  • Design review with you, changes until approval

Manufacturing & sampling

Steel with a mill certificate, HSC milling to ±0.002 mm, sinker and wire EDM, grinding, assembly. Status reports with photos from live production arrive without you asking.

  • Reference moulds pass through production in 40–50 days
  • T0 trial with dimensional report, parameters and sample parts to you
  • Corrective loops T1/T2 directly at the plant, no shipping the mould
  • On request: a 4-hour endurance run and video of the trial

Acceptance, transport & production

Tool acceptance comes before dispatch: full dimensional survey, function test, documentation package. TG-TP then takes over preservation, packaging, freight and customs clearance to your factory gate.

  • Dimensional report from the CMM measuring room, acceptance to your specification
  • First article inspection report (ISIR) as the basis of your production sampling
  • Mould data sheet, spare parts list, final moulding parameters
  • Production support afterwards: corrective loops, modifications, spare parts

Logistics and customs, priced in

A mould weighs more than its paperwork. We take on both: the Incoterm you prefer, on request delivered to your factory gate, customs-cleared and insured.
